Christine Taylor resides in her hometown Plainfield, New Jersey, and is an English teacher, part-time librarian, and freelance copyeditor. She identifies as biracial and recently wildflowers have taken over her work. She holds a B. A. in English and Pan African Studies from Drew University, an M. A. in English Literature from National University, and an M. L. I. S. from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
Christine is the Editor-in-Chief of Kissing Dynamite: A Journal of Poetry, a humble online journal featuring poetry, art, and music, and the founder of Kissing Dynamite Poetry Press. She also serves as assistant editor at Human/Kind Journal and is the former haibun editor at OPEN: Journal of Arts & Letters. Christine's first poetry chapbook The Queen City is available through Broken Sleep Books (2019), the second Petal is forthcoming with Bone & Ink Press (July 2020), and the third Buffer Zone: Snapshots from an Abortion Clinic Escort is forthcoming with Vegetarian Alcoholic Press (September 2020). Her micro-chapbook CLAW: A Collection of Haibun will be released as part of Ghost City Press's Summer Micro-chapbook Series on August 14, 2020. |
